Where We Are

After their residencies are complete, nearly 60% of our graduates remain within our geographic service area. And for good reason. Our program is located in Toledo, Ohio – a hub of academic, recreational and career opportunities conveniently located within driving distance of Detroit, Cleveland, Columbus, Ann Arbor and Chicago.

Education

The University of Toledo, home of the Toledo Rockets, is a state-supported university with more than 20,000 students. Business, engineering, law and pharmacy are among the many academic fields available at UT.

Owens Community College offers more than 100 career-oriented degrees and certificates in agriculture, business, health, public service, and industrial and engineering technologies.

Home of the Falcons and located just south of Toledo, Bowling Green State University is a state-assisted university founded in 1910. More than 21,000 students are currently enrolled at BGSU.

More than 40,000 students attend the University of Michigan, located about an hour north of Toledo. Home of the Wolverines, UM is recognized around the world for the research and educational opportunities it provides.

In addition, the Toledo area offers close proximity to a number of other institutions of higher learning, including Lourdes College, Monroe County Community College and Spring Arbor University.

Recreation

For the outdoor enthusiast, the Toledo area contains many outstanding parks and recreational facilities, such as the Toledo Area Metroparks and Maumee Bay State Park on the Lake Erie shoreline.

From their home at Fifth Third Field in downtown Toledo, the Mud Hens play baseball in the International League as the top affiliate (Triple-A) of the Detroit Tigers.
